Govt projects

Published January 23, 2021

I HAD booked a flat in Executive Lifestyle Residency, Karachi cantonment, a project announced by the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation in 2017, and paid Rs100,000 as the initial payment.

Unfortunately, neither there has been any progress in construction nor has the amount been reimbursed. I lodged a complaint with the Citizen Portal too, but despite having waited for three months, I have received no satisfactory response.

As someone who lives on rent, it is very difficult for me to make ends meet, especially when a decent chunk of my savings is invested in a project that has been at a standstill for more than three years now.

I urge the authorities concerned to resolve the issue at their earliest.
