Gas distribution

Published January 22, 2021

THE country is facing a severe natural gas shortage as most of our wells have depleted and new gas discoveries are not large enough to cater to the ever-growing needs of the ever-growing population. Therefore, we have to make do with what limited resources we have.

In Islamabad, some sectors, like E-7, F-7, E-10, F-10, etc., get regular gas supply with rare to mild interruptions, whereas in sector E-11/2, the gas shutdown lasts more than 20 hours a day. There needs to be a schedule for gas load management so that nobody suffers and every household gets its fair share of gas.
