RAWALPINDI: Experts from Punjab Livestock Department will brief Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Jan 22 on the census methodology being adopted by the Livestock and Dairy Development Punjab.

Teams will also start tagging animals throughout Punjab with the coordination of the federal government during the animal census.

The livestock department teams are tagging animals in disease-free zones of the province.

This was discussed in a meeting with Punjab Secretary Livestock retired Capt Saqib Zafar in the chair. Participants of the meeting were briefed about the livestock census held in 2018.

Mr Zafar said he would cooperate with the federal government on census being held on the request of PBS Director Fazil Mehmood.
