LOWER DIR: The departmental development working party (DDWP) of the University of Malakand on Saturday approved establishing the women sub-campus. The project, submitted by the varsity and approved by the Higher Education Commission, would cost Rs1.5 billion.

The decision was taken at a meeting, where Vice-Chancellor Prof Gul Zaman deliberated upon the components proposed in the project.

He said that the project would have the facilities like academic block, hostels, administration block, ICT labs, external development, a students’ service centre, a library, rehabilitation of infrastructure, construction of link roads, hiring of faculty and administrative staff. The project will be completed in 48 months, he added.
