LAHORE: PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) will strike at the ‘right time’ to get desired results.

Talking to reporters here on Saturday, Ms Nawaz said the impression that the PDM failed to achieve its target was wrong. She said so far only one resignation (Nadeem Afzal Chan) had come and more would follow.

She said in the Broadsheet case the PTI government had completely been exposed. “This case is a slap on the face of the PTI government and Nawaz Sharif has been exonerated,” she said and added the more the government would lie the more it would expose. She said the days of the Imran Khan government were numbered.

Replying to a question about holding a protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan [office] to press it to decide the foreign funding case of PTI, she said: “We will hold a massive protest (on Tuesday),” dispelling the impression that the PPP was not onboard in this regard.

She said she was not aware whether PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zaradri would take part in it or not.

Meanwhile, PML-N secretary general Ahsan Iqbal held a party meeting in Model Town regarding preparations for Tuesday’s protest outside the ECP.

The PML-N leader said the PTI foreign funding case had been pending with the ECP for the last six years.
