Meanwhile, the leaders of United Workers Welfare Association have demanded of the oil and gas exploration companies to increase the salaries of daily wagers up to Rs20,000 and make their jobs permanent.

Speaking at a meeting, the association’s chairman Naveed Iqbal, president Iqbal Khan Khattak, general secretary Taj Mohammad and others said the last government of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in the province had fixed Rs20,000 monthly salary of workers, but regretted that the oil and gas exploration companies had yet to implement the decision.
