ISLAMABAD, Oct 6: Pakistan coach Jamshed Gul expects that his players would do well at the British Open Squash Championship beginning this Sunday in Manchester.

The boys a due to leave early Friday morning where they will join Mansoor Zaman and Shahid Zaman who are already in England.

“Mansoor has been playing well while Shahid, although in good shape has to find his form quick,” said Jamshed. Both players will feature in the main round of the Oct 9-17 meet.

Others headed for England are Farhan Mahboob, Farrukh Zaman, Safeerullah Khan, Amir Atlas Khan, Yasir Butt, Shamsul Islam and Khalid Atlas. All of them will have to qualify.

The players’ training will continue once they return with the CNS Championship, the Qatar Classic, World Open and the World Team Championship coming up.

Meanwhile secretary of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF), Zulfiqar Ahmed said that the number of players competing in the British Open will be reduce to four by mid November. “Those boys will then form the Pakistan squad for the World Team Championship” to be held in Islamabad in December.
