QUETTA, Oct 4: The Balochistan High Court on Monday rejected a petition seeking disqualification of a candidate in polls for Kech district nazim. A division bench, comprising Justice Akhtar Zaman Malghani and Justice Nadir Khan Durani, here on Monday dismissed the petition of Maula Barkat, a candidate for Kech district nazim. He had challenged the matriculation certificate of his rival candidate Muhammad Rauf Rind in the polls scheduled for Oct 6.

The court has allowed defendant to contest the election.

DRUGS SEIZED: Personnel of the Anti-Narcotics Force have seized a huge quantity of drugs in two raids.

Sources said that on Tuesday that the ANF Dalbandin raided a suspected dumpsite in Mashkel and seized 500 kg of Morphine. In another raid in Taftan 10 kg of charas and 10 kg of opium was seized.
