KARACHI, Oct 4: Five ships carrying chemicals, containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow where four ships, Corin Thaikos, Hanjin Busan to unload and load containers, Jaipur to offload trucks and Lalazar to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which departed included Ilse Wuff, Fu Zhou and Harsandi, while Jaipur, Lalazar, Long An Cheng, and Rockaway Belle are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 70,327 tons comprising 5,195 tons of export cargo including 1,914 tons of cement and 65,132 tons of import cargo including 8,825 tons of sugar was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Bow de Jin, with chemicals, Kota Wajiya, Hyundai Future, with containers and Ricmer Chennal, with project cargo.
