PPP man shifts loyalty

TOBA TEK SINGH, Oct 2: Another PPP office-bearer has announced to support the ruling party candidate for the district nazim slot. Addressing a gathering at Pirmahal on Sunday, PPP district vice-president and union council naib nazim Haji Siddique Piyara said he and his councillors would cast their votes in favour of Chaudhry Abdul Sattar.

Former PPP leader Ghiasuddin Janbaz, UC No. 82 nazim Chaudhry Khalid Sardar and scores of councillors were also present on the occasion.

Earlier, PPP district secretary-general Chaudhry Saeed Akhtar had also announced his support for Chaudhry Sattar while PPP district president Haji Ishaq is backing Begum Neelum Jabbar for the district nazim slot.

Meanwhile, UC Nos. 54 and 55 nazims Chaudhry Tahir Sattar and Dr Maqbool Ahmad, respectively, also announced their support for Chaudhry Sattar for the district nazim slot and Dr Zahid Sattar for tehsil nazim slot.
