KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday announced that he had recovered from coronavirus infection that he contracted more than two weeks ago, after which he had gone into home isolation.

The chief minister made the announcement about his recovery in a Twitter posting. He thanked everyone for extending good wishes and praying for his health.

“By the Grace of Allah, I have tested negative for Covid-19,” he tweeted. “Thank you to all friends & well wishers for their calls and messages. Although I have tried, it hasn’t been possible to respond to everyone individually. Please know that I am grateful for your good wishes.”

On Nov 16, Mr Shah was diagnosed as Covid-19 positive and had gone into home isolation. A statement from the CM House had said that the chief minister felt light fever and he had got his PCR test done which detected him as Covid-19 positive. He had isolated himself in his home while feeling light fever, otherwise he did not have serious symptoms.
