Gwadar will be among world’s most developed cities: Alyani

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has said that Gwadar port city will be among the most developed cities of the world because of a comprehensive development strategy adopted by the coalition government.

Presiding over a meeting of the Gwadar Development Authority here on Monday, the chief minister said that under the Gwadar Smart Port City Master Plan, best water supply schemes and sewerage facilities were under construction in the area.

Director General of the Gwadar Development Authority Shahzeb Khan Kakar briefed the meeting on implementation of Gwadar Smart Port City Master Plan and supply of clean drinking water to the area.

He informed the meeting that Rs1 billion had been allocated for restoring old Gwadar city under the Public Sector Development Programme 2019-20, and with this huge amount development work was in progress.

He also briefed the meeting on construction of ICT Centre, water treatment plant and other water supply and distribution projects.
