KARACHI: The city’s weather remained cold and chilly on Tuesday as a Meteorological department officer said that Siberian winds that entered the city from the north and north-easterly directions on Monday continued to blow for the second consecutive day. The cold weather was expected to persist for another three to four days.

The Met official added that the weather would remain fair with gusty winds blowing, while the nights would be dry and cool.

The weatherman said that the minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 17.5 degrees Celsius in the morning and the maximum remained between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius.

“The Siberian winds are expected to stay in the city for two to three more days. The temperature is likely to drop further by two degrees Celsius during the ongoing week. The temperature compounded by gusty winds has dropped in morning hours to almost 18 degrees Celsius, but has risen to 30 degrees in the afternoon providing the needed solace to the people [more used to] moderate climate conditions,” said the official adding that the weather in general would be dry hence healthcare providers have advised people to take due care of themselves.
