LARKANA: In an extensive week-long drive, the municipal authorities eliminated 350 stray dogs in different areas of Larkana taluka amid growing incidents of dog-bite case in many districts of Sindh over the last few weeks.

Larkana Assistant Commissioner Ahmed Ali Soomro said that the drive was conducted in Garello, Arija and their 10 suburban areas. The drive was launched on a directive of the Sindh High Court, according to district officials.

In a fresh incident, a policeman and another person were bitten by stray dogs in Naudero while an increasing number of cases continued to be reported at the treatment centre established at the Chandka Medical College Hospital.
