KARACHI: The inaugural team trials of Sports for Life female volleyball team ‘Karachi Hawks’ were held at the Karachi University recently. Over 100 players participated in the trials after which 25 players were short-listed by the selection committee comprising Shahid Masood, Nasira Ilyas and Shafia Arshad. Mehwish Zaman was the coordinator of the event.

The trials were held under the auspices of ‘Sindh Volleyball Association’. Observers Mahiya Moin and Kausar were also present to witness the trials.

The 25 selected players are: Huzaifa Fatima, Farha Ahmed, Zarlish Mohtashim, Sahar Hashmi, Ghania Mohtashim, Syeda Kashaf Fatima Bhukari, Tasleem Kosar, Maria Muzammil, Zainab Hatim, Soniya Behram Shah, Ghazala Nasreen, Razia Sultana, Komal Shaukat Ali, Taiba Sheikh, Rukhsar Fatima, Ruksar Shahid, Sehrish Imtiaz, Sarah Haider, Nouma Faridi, Nousheen Shahjahan, Nazia Jamal-ud-din, Anum Ejaz, Maryam Ghouri, Aqsa Shahid, Aramish Qadeer and Ifrah Rafiq.
