A QUALIFIED teacher has an essential role in building a child’s career and encouraging students towards education. In Balochistan, it is unfortunate that the teaching sector is dominated by those who possess neither the expertise nor the experience to discharge such responsibilities.
A survey conducted by a non-profit organisation showed that almost 58 per cent government schools teachers had no knowledge of the national curriculum, while 78 per cent had not undertaken any course on assessment techniques during their pre-service training.
How can unqualified teachers create a constructive learning environment and motivate students when they lack the basic skills for communication, classroom management and appropriate discipline techniques?
