Shallwani assumes charge of commissioner

City Administrator Iftikhar Ali Shallwani was on Monday given additional charge of the city commissioner replacing Dr Sohail Rajput, who was transferred to the federal government after being promoted to grade-22.

KARACHI: City Administrator Iftikhar Ali Shallwani was on Monday given additional charge of the city commissioner replacing Dr Sohail Rajput, who was transferred to the federal government after being promoted to grade-22.

The provincial government through a notification assigned him to hold additional charge of commissioner till further orders.

Mr Shallwani, a grade-21 officer, had earlier served as city commissioner before being posted as city administrator after the elected local governments wound up their tenure in August.
