Alyani asks officials to speed up work on uplift projects

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has ordered top officials of the provincial government to expedite construction work on ongoing and new development projects initiated under the Quetta development package.

The chief minister was presiding over a meeting on the Quetta development package and Provincial Disaster Management Authority via a video link on Wednesday as he has been in quarantine since having been tested positive for Covid-19 on Oct 14.

Doctors have advised the chief minister to stay in quarantine in his home till his next Covid-19 test. Since going into quarantine, Mr Alyani has been performing his official duties through the online video link from home.

Balochistan Chief Secretary retired Capt Fazeel Asghar, Additional Chief Secretary of Planning and Development Abdul Rehman Buzdar, Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority Imran Zarkoon and Quetta Division Commissioner Asfandyar Kakar attended the meeting through video link.
