KARACHI: Mr. M.A. Jinnah, President of the All-India Muslim League, in an interview today [Oct 26] strongly disapproved of the attitude of Mr. G.M. Syed, President of the Sind Provincial Muslim League, and uttered a warning that any revolt against the decision of the Central Parliamentary Board would be contrary to all elementary principles of discipline and defiance of the League’s constitution.

The Qaid-e-Azam has urged the Musalmans of Sind to support the candidates selected by the Central Parliamentary Board in obedience to the constitution rules and regulations of the All-India Muslim League.

After explaining how he reconstituted the Sind Muslim Parliamentary Board, Mr. Jinnah said that Mr. Syed has adopted a rather high-handed attitude and adjourned the Board’s proceedings ‘sine die’. Mr. Syed convened the meeting of the Council of the Sind Provincial Muslim League which is ‘ultra vires’ and it was outside the powers of the Council to instruct the Central Parliamentary Board to take up the work of nominating candidates for the Sind Assembly Elections.

Mr. Syed also ignored the advice of Nawabzada Liaquat Ali Khan. The Provincial Parliamentary Board, said Mr. Jinnah, is responsible to the Central Parliamentary Board… .
