LAHORE: With no death, 198 new confirmed cases of the Covid-19 surfaced in Punjab during the last 24 hours, taking the total number to 102,857 so far.Of the new cases, 87 were reported from Lahore, 27 from Multan, 19 from Rawalpindi and 14 from Faisalabad.

Others surfaced in Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Jhelum, Sialkot, Gujrat, Toba Tek Singh, Mianwali, Jhang, Dera Ghazi Khan, Attock, Muzaffargarh, Sargodha, Khushab, Layyah, Sheikhupura, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala etc.

According to the official figures released by the Punjab government on Monday, the virus has taken the lives of total 2,335 since the pandemic all over the province.

A spokesperson for the health department said no new death was reported in Punjab.

He said a total 97,348 patients tested positive for the virus have completely recovered in Punjab.
