KARACHI: As many as 10 horses will be up against each other in the Benefit Cup that tops the horseracing action in a five-race card of the Gymkhana race meeting at Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

The cup race that has been classified under scale order IV and V will go over four-and-a-half furlongs.

It is the fourth race in order as well as the supporting event.

The fifth and concluding race that is the feature event — scale order II and III — will see half-a-dozen horses vying for honours over four-and-a-half furlongs distance.

Meanwhile, the first three races of lower classifications will be contested over four furlongs apiece.

Altogether, 35 horses have entered and will be seen in action barring last-minute withdrawal(s).

The first race starts at 2.45pm.
