Two killed

SHIKARPUR, Sept 27: One student and a woman were murdered in two incidents in the district on Tuesday. A student of first year of the Higher Secondary School, Chak town, Shoaib Mahar, 17, was slaughtered with a sharp weapon by some persons on Tuesday.

Mujahid, the brother of the deceased, said that Shoaib Mahar was kidnapped by some persons on Monday from the Nimoro Road when he was on his way to his village after attending his class in Chak town.

A woman, Ms Noorjahan Brohi, 17, was shot dead by her husband Sher Mohammad Brohi in the Hayat Brohi village on Tuesday. The motive behind the murder is said to be karo-kari.—Correspondent
