DHAKA, Sept 27: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh on Tuesday apprised the ambassadors and high commissioners of Saarc countries, on government preparations for hosting the 13th summit of the South Asian forum on Nov 12-13.

The envoys of Bhutan, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan were present at the briefing seen as a step forward to holding the twice-deferred summit.

“We’ve apprised them of the preparation and programme so far made and sought their suggestions, if they have any, for modification.

“Dhaka will make all preparations to make the summit a complete success,” the foreign secretary, Hemayetuddin, told journalists after the meeting at the foreign ministry.
