LONDON: Head of Disability Cricket at ECB Ian Martin is seen with former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi.

LONDON: Ian Martin, the Head of Disability Cricket at the England and Wales Cricket Board has praised former dashing all-rounder Shahid Afridi for accepting the post of Honorary Chairman of the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association recently.

In his statement, Martin said that the inclusion of Boom Boom Afridi will give a big boost to disabled cricket around the world.

“Pakistan’s Disabled Cricket Association and in particular Amir, want to say congratulations and well done on securing the services of Shahid Afridi to support physical disability in Pakistan,” Martin stated.

“It’s a magnificent move and it will benefit our game. It’s great to have somebody of his [Afridi’s] profile and excellent star quality to support physical disability cricket as we make efforts to grow the game globally.”
