HYDERABAD, Sept 26: Bodies of 23 victims of two traffic accidents on the Indus Highway, on Saturday and Sunday, have been handed over to heirs by the Hyderabad Civil Hospital and its Jamshoro branch.

Ten bodies are lying in mortuaries of the CHH and the Jamshoro hospital for identification.

About 30 injured are under treatment at the two hospitals.

CHH Medical Superintendent Dr Khalid Qureshi said that of 33 bodies, received following the two accidents, 23 had been shifted to parts of Hyderabad, Karachi, Badin, Tharparkar, Kandiaro and parts of Punjab.

The Khanote police lodged a case in respect of second road accident in Manjhand on Sunday.

The FIR was lodged under section 320, 337 Qisas and Diyat Ordinance, 279 and 427 PPC on the compliant of SHO Suleman Jaiser.

Six deceased have been mentioned in the FIR whereas 35 have been shown as injured.

The names of deceased are: Aslam Pervez, 42, a resident of Orangi town (Karachi), Saleem, 25, (Hyderabad), Aftab Hussain, 35, (Kotri), Munawar Begum, wife of Essa Samoo, 55, (Hyderabad), Zulfiqar Memon, 48, (Hyderabad), Shakir Khan, 23, (Hyderabad), Niaz Ahmed, 38, (Kotri), Muslim Khowaja, an MBBS third year student (Badin), Riaz Hussain Kolachi, 22, an MBBS student (Kandiaro), Mohammad Taqi, 30, (Jamshoro), Zahid Sheeraz, 18, (Nazimabad-Karachi), Mahdev Mathradas, 22, a student of Sindh University, (Chachhro-Tharparkar), Maqsood Khan, 32, (Landhi-Karachi), Mohammad Akbar, 35, (Azeempur-Karachi), Rasheed Khaskheli, 25, (Chanesar Goth-Karachi, Muneera Bibi, wife of Master Khushi Mohammad Qureshi, 45, (Faisalabad), four-year-old Umme Kulsoom, daughter of Abdul Jabbar, (Faisalabad), Javed Iqbal Rajput, 47, (Faisalabad), Jabir Hussain Butt, 25, (Faisalabad), Ashok, 30, a third year MBBS student (Chachhro-Tharparkar), Sher Mohammad Sheri, 40, (Pareetabad-Hyderabad), Mohammad Iqbal, 25, (Lahore) and Abdul Qayyum Bhatti, 30, (Karachi).
