THE National Highway 65, or the N-65, is an important link connecting Quetta with the interior of Sindh and Punjab. Its strategic location not only facilitates trading with other provinces, but also enables tourists to reach the Bolan Valley.
Unfortunately, despite being an important road, the government pays little attention towards its maintenance. This has resulted in several road accidents claiming precious lives and leaving many with crippling injuries. The authorities concerned should start reconstruction of this highway on a priority basis.
