GWADAR: Balochi language singer Hanif Chamrok was gunned down in Turbat city of Kech district.

Police said on Thursday that Chamrok was taking a music class along with some youngsters outside his home in Singani village on the outskirts of Turbat when unidentified men opened fire on him.

They said the attackers on a motorcycle used automatic weapons.

According to the police, Chamrok received multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot.

Soon after receiving information about the attack, a police party rushed to the area.

Chamrok’s body was shifted to a hospital for autopsy and later handed over to his family. The deceased was the father of human right activist Tayyaba Baloch.
