Three teams win by identical margins

ISLAMABAD, Sept 25: Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan chalked up victories by identical margins of 1-0 each on the third day of first-ever National women’s football championship at Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex, on Sunday.

The losing sides in the three clashes were Islamabad, NWFP and Football School of Excellence, Sindh.

Wapda were to take on Azad Kashmir under floodlights in the fourth match of the day.

In the first game, Punjab were winners over Islamabad by a solitary goal snapped up by Sheka Kazmi in the 40th minute.

Sindh edged out NWFP by the same margin with goal coming from Erum in the 40th minute. Her namesake from Balochistan was the scorer of all-important 31st minute goal against Football School of Excellence, Sindh, in the third fixture of the day.—APP
