Fiery Zaheer bowls Zahoor GBSS in last-8

KARACHI, Sept 23: Medium pacer Zaheer Abbas snapped seven wickets to bowl Zahoor GBSS into the last eight stage of KCCA Inter-school cricket championship with an emphatic 243-run victory over GBSS Hasrat Mohani at Students ground on Thursday.

Zakir Afridi slammed 79 with six fours and Muhammad Hussain (62) and Imran Ahmed (51) hammered sparkling half centuries as Zahoor GBSS raced to 306 all out in 49th overs.

GBSS Hasrat Mohani in reply were skittled out for 63 in 13 overs. Zaheer Abbas ripped apart their batting with figures of seven for 30 in ten overs.

In the other match at KCCA Stadium, GBSS Agro Technical beat Dacca Secondary School (DSS) by five wickets. Saleem Zair slammed a match winning 96 with the aid of 11 boundaries.
