PML-N MPA joins ruling party

LAHORE, Sept 23: PML-N MPA from Bhalwal Dr Mukhtar Ahmad Bharth joined the ruling party after calling on Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi here on Friday. Mr Bharth expressed his confidence in the leadership of PML chief Shujaat Husain and the chief minister while joining the ruling party.

Irrigation Minister Amer Sultan Cheema, MPA Mehr Rab Nawaz Lak, Punjab PML joint secretary Syed Ali Jaffar Naqvi and the PML candidate for Bhalwal tehsil nazim Imtiaz Ahmad Bharth were present on the occasion.

The chief minister welcomed Mr Bharth and said his inclusion in the PML would further help mobilize the party in his tehsil. The inclusion of the political leaders imbibed with the spirit of service to the people into the PML would strengthen the democratic system in the country.

He said the inclusion of other parties’ leaders and workers into the PML was expanding its network which indicated that the government’s reform agenda was getting popular among the people.

The chief minister said the PML was using all resources for providing social justice and accelerating the peace of development in the country.

He accepted the invitation by Mr Bharth to visit Bhalwal and said he would announce a development package for the city.

The irrigation minister also welcomed Mr Bharth and said his inclusion would accelerate the speed of PML’s reorganization in the tehsil. Mr Bharth said he was joining the PML in appreciation of the political and economic planning of the present government. — Staff Reporter
