KARACHI: Former dean, Faculty of Science and chairperson of the Department of Zoology, Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences & Technology (Fuuast), Prof Dr Rubina Mushtaq has assumed charge as acting vice chancellor on Thursday, a statement says.

Dr Rubina Mushtaq has assumed the charge in accordance with the decision of the 43rd meeting of the senate of Fuuast. After assuming the charge of her office, Dr Rubina said that students are the assets of the university so she will first try to improve the quality of education in the varsity through effective planning.

She expressed hope that the teaching and non-teaching staff will extend full cooperation to the administration for the development of the institution.
