KARACHI: Acting governor takes oath

KARACHI, Sept 23: The Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed, on Friday took oath as acting governor in the absence of Dr Ishratul Ibad, who left for London.

Justice Sabihuddin was administered oath by Justice Ghulam Rabbani, senior judge of the Sindh High Court at Governor’s House.

Chief Secretary Fazlur Rehman read out the Commission of Appointment issued by the President. The ceremony was attended by judges of the high court, provincial secretaries and senior officials.

Later, the acting governor administered oath to Justice Ghulam Rabbani to act as chief justice of the high court.

The governor had earlier left for London along with his family on a three-day visit.—APP
