QUETTA: The provincial government has made all arrangements to reopen government and private universities and colleges in Balochistan on Sept 15 as announced by the federal education minister after consultations with the four provincial governments.

Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday, Balochistan government spokesman Liaquat Shahwani said all arrangements had been made in the province to reopen educational institutions from Tuesday.

He said the provincial government would implement the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) announced by the federal government.

He said that in the first phase all universities and colleges would be reopened across the province while primary, middle and high schools would be opened in second phase after observing the results of opening of universities and colleges.

He said a comprehensive plan had been evolved to ensure implementation of SOPs in all educational institutions and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard as the government would not compromise on the health of students at any cost.
