DERA GHAZI KHAN: A married woman was allegedly gang-raped at her home by two suspects at Basti Lashari village of Taunsa tehsil.

In the first information report (FIR), registered with the Raitra Police Station, the mother of two said the suspects scaled the wall of her house at 10:45pm when her children — two-year-old son and six-month-old daughter — were asleep.

The suspects took her forcibly to a room of her house and raped her there.

The police registered an FIR after the family of the victim held a protest and medical check-up was done.

Taunsa is the hometown of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and he has taken notice of the incident, directing Regional Police Officer Rana Faisal to submit a report on the incident within 24 hours.

On the direction of the CM, the RPO appointed the SP investigation to head an inquiry into the incident.

District Police Officer Akhtar Farooq told Dawn the police would use forensics in the inquiry.
