OKARA: As many as 63 residents were booked on charges of power theft at 1/SP Depalpur village on Tuesday.

A Lesco team, headed by Assistant Manager Operation (AMO) Muhammad Sajid Mahmood of Haveli Lakkha subdivision, found 63 villagers stealing electricity.

Depalpur police have registered a case under section 462 J of the PPC.

PROTEST RALLY: A group of All Government Employees Grand Alliance (AGEGA) headed by Chairman Mahr Mukhtar Ahmad Sial and organiser Shafqat Rasool Sindhu took out a protest rally on Tuesday, demanding regularisation of the ad hoc staff.
