KARACHII, Sept 21: Another dozen ships including those whose arrivals were delayed are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight ships, Aziza, Pangani, Carotina and Cargo Enterprise to unload and load general cargo, APL Dalian, Bunga Delima, to offload and load containers, Shinko to offload oils and Morning Sky to unload fertilizer.

Seven vessels, Hanjin Busan, Antoine, Mastery, Johar, Sea Brilliance, Sutra Tiga and Shintiku departed on Wednesday, while Thor Captain, Pangani, APL Dalian and Bunga Delima are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 0.109m tons comprising 18,953 tons of export cargo including 3,452 tons of rice and 279 tons of cement and 90,247 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Stolt Azami, with base oil, Global Progress, Kuo hung, Cape Bona Vista, YM Sun, APL Orchid, Harmoney, Wan hai-263, and Corin Thaikos, to unload and load containers, Hang Quan, with 16,000 tons of sugar, Setife, with coal and Islamabad, with general cargo.
