KARACHI, Jan 19: Sindh Labour Minister Dewan Mohammed Yousuf Farooqui said on Saturday that the launch of the website of Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI) would serve as a step forward to make social security transparent for workers, employers as well as the public.

He was speaking after the launch of SESSI’s website (www.sessi.com.pk).

Dewan Yousuf said that with the advent of information technology, the pace of progress had significantly increased in the developed countries.

“Being a developing country, we should work hard to follow the mainstream,” the minister said. He appreciated the efforts of the commissioner of SESSI for making the institution a progressive and viable organization.

Earlier, SESSI Commissioner Asad Ashraf Malik said the website was developed to provide authentic information about the working of SESSI.

The website, he said, would help in the registration of commercial and industrial establishments for which an on-line registration service would be available round the clock.

The site, he said, also provided duty roster of SESSI’s doctors so that patients could reach them without waste of time.—APP
