MOHMAND: A driver was killed and nine people were injured in a collision between a passenger coach and oil tanker at Ghaiba Chowk near Main Mandi bazaar on Peshawar-Bajaur road in Mohmand tribal district on Thursday.

At least nine people were injured in the accident while the coach driver Hammad Khan of Shabqaddar, Charsadda, died on the spot.

The injured were identified as Ikramullah, Mohammad Ullah, wife of Bakhtyar Khan, wife of Mohammad Dayan of Safi tehsil, Mohammad Ali, sister of Muhambar, Wajid Khan of Haleemzai tehsil, Rehman Gul of Bajaur district and Mohsin Khan of Shabqadar.

Rescue 1122 teams shifted the injured persons to the district headquarters hospital, Ghalanai. Four of the injured were later referred to the Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar.
