LAHORE, Sept 19: Several dozen people, mainly children, suffered injuries in fireworks explosions on Shabb-i-Barat here on Monday.
Open sale of the fireworks without any check by police or any other government agency made the people buy them in large quantities.
Most parts of the city, especially the Walled City and other localities, kept on echoing with fireworks blasts till late at night.
Several dozen people got injuries during the fireworks explosions.
They were admitted to various city hospitals. At least 10 of them were stated to be in critical condition.
