ABBOTTABAD: Industries secretary Javed Marwat has said the provincial government has prioritised the establishment of business facilitation centres at divisional level.

He told a meeting of the business community here that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor offered both development opportunities and challenges for the government and entrepreneurs.

The secretary said the government was setting up help desks and facilitation centres for business community to benefit from CPEC.

KPBOIT chairman Ehsan Daud, who was also present in the meeting, said industrialists should use the latest ways and means to establish units.

He said the government was trying to remove business hurdles and a task force had already been working for the purpose.

Mr Daud said the government had abolished a large number of taxes in the current budget, while the duplication of taxes was also reduced.

Former FPCCI vice-president Haji Iftikhar Ahmad demanded of the State Bank of Pakistan to open a branch in Abbottabad.
