ISLAMABAD, Sept 19: Pakistan and Algeria have agreed to exchange delegations of oil, gas and mineral experts for exploring areas of cooperation between the two countries. The decision was taken at a meeting between Algerian Minister for Small and Medium Enterprises Mustapha Binbada and Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Amanullah Khan Jadoon here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Jadoon said both the countries were striving to achieve economic prosperity and had a lot of scope for interaction in diversified fields including oil, gas and mineral sectors.

He said Algeria was rich in oil and gas and had a great expertise in pipeline, LNG and minerals, adding that Pakistan could benefit from the experience.

The minister briefed the Algerian dignitary about the trans-national gas pipeline, LNG projects and the ongoing mineral activities in the country. He offered them to participate in these development activities for promoting bilateral cooperation.

The Algerian minister said exchange of energy experts’ delegations would help bring the two countries closer. He invited the minister to visit Algeria for boosting bilateral ties.
