LAHORE: Punjab reported 192 new cases of coronavirus during the last 24 hours, taking the total number of reported cases to 94,040 across the province.

Moreover, two deaths were reported during the same period in the province, according to the official figures released by the health department on Friday.

Of the new cases, 69 were reported from Lahore, 38 from Rawalpindi, 18 Gujrat, six Multan and five Bahawalpur.

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Lahore has reached 47,798, Rawalpindi 7,541, Multan 5,862 and Faisalabad 5,218.

The Punjab government conducted 7,093 tests in the last 24 hours across the province against its capacity of 17,000 per day.

New suspected cases of the virus reported in the last 24 hours were 7,093.
