Man shot dead in name of ‘honour’

SUKKUR: A man was shot dead in the name of ‘honour’ near Salehpat, 42 kilometres from here on Monday.

Lal Khan Katpar stated in an FIR lodged under Section 302 at Salehpat police station that his brother Ibrahim Katpar was murdered by Naimatullah, Ahmed Ali, Meer Mohammad and Sanaullah over an old dispute of karo-kari.

SHO of Salehpat police station said that police had arrested Naimatullah and recovered a shotgun used in the crime. The suspect would be produced in court on Tuesday while raids were being conducted for the arrest of the remaining suspects, he said.
