LAHORE: Around 375 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Punjab in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the province to 90,816.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the virus in the province reached 2,095 after it claimed seven more lives during the last 24 hours.

According to official figures released by the health department on Wednesday, among the new cases, 182 were reported from Lahore, while others were in Sheikhupura, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Faisalabad and Multan.

Three of the new deaths were reported in Lahore where the death toll has risen to 800.

A spokesperson for the health department said 404 patients of Covid-19 had recovered and been discharged from various hospitals in the city.
