DERA GHAZI KHAN: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar paid his maiden visit to Kharar Buzdar, a peripheral tribal area of Dera Ghazi Khan, and met heads of various tribal clans and local notables on Wednesday.
The chief minister listened to their problems and assured them of their solution, and pointed out that the additional chief secretary (south) accompanied him to understand the problems of the area.
He announced the elevation of Kharar Buzdar Basic Health Unit to a rural health centre along with setting up of a rescue centre and the start of motorcycle rescue service. He also announced to launch a water supply scheme as well as a Bank of Punjab branch. Seeking early completion of link roads, the CM asked to ensure transparency in the development project.
“We have full understanding of the difficulties of the people of Balochistan and I will contact the provincial chief minister for concrete pavement of link roads being used by people of both the provinces.”
Later, CM Buzdar presided over a meeting at Buzdar House in Taunsa wherein he was briefed about ongoing development schemes. He sought early completion of the projects.
The CM was told that a cricket stadium was being built in Taunsa with Rs100 million. A Tehsil Sports Complex, including Shah Suleman Stadium, would be completed this year with Rs35m and a technical training institute promote skills-based education among the youth.
He also announced higher secondary status for the girls high school of Sokar Town and upgrading the girls’ middle school of Baelani to high school.
