THATTA: As many as 50 activists, some of them holding various party offices in Sujawal district, on Saturday announced their decision to quit the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM).
They made the announcement at a press conference held at the Makli Press Club.
Sufi Mohammad Hashim Sindhi, Ghulam Hussain Sindhi, Adim Khan, Akram Shah and other activists also announced that they had decided to do away with nationalist politics and live the rest of life as “patriotic Pakistanis”.
Answering a flurry of questions posed by media personnel, they explained that in their long association with the JSQM and after dealing with other nationalist groups, they had now fully realised that leaders of all such groups only exploited and misguided youths and other simple citizens.
“We are fed up with separatist politics,” they said, and claimed that leaders of the so-called nationalist groups were actually anti-state elements. “Instead of helping people make their future bright, they are pushing them into a hostile environment only to get their vested interests served,” they said.
They observed that by resorting to anti-state activities, these leaders had the only aim of pleasing Pakistan’s enemies and making personal gains.
They said they now intended to opt for healthy activities and play their active role in making Pakistan stronger and prosperous.
They said they would also advise other activists to follow suit and give up politics based on hatred and division.
