Man shot dead

RAWALPINDI, Sept 15: A 22-year-old man was shot dead by his rival in Jhanda Chichi in the jurisdiction of Civil Lines police on Thursday night, police said. SI Mohammad Saeed, who is investigating the case, said Sharafat Hussain, a plumber, had old enmity with Heera. As he was returning home, Heera intercepted him and shot him dead. The accused managed to escape from the scene.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Nazeer, a senior official of the education ministry, was deprived of cash and valuables worth Rs195,000 when burglars broke into his house in the jurisdiction of Airport police.

Babar Hussain’s car (HJ-896) was stolen from Sadiqabad, Ghulam Fareed’s vehicle (HB-541) was lifted from the premises of Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench while Noman Ali’s motorbike was stolen from New Town.—Staff Reporter
