MANSEHRA: Two minor sisters drowned in the Brando stream in Kharak area of Torghar district on Thursday.

Kaynat, 6, and Shakila, 4, slipped into the steam while fetching water.

The residents fished out the bodies.

Also in the day, a youngster was killed and his friends were critically injured as a pick-up van hit the motorcycles they rode head-on in Barkund area.

Mohammad Tahir, a 17-year-old resident of Batdarian area, died on the way to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, while his friends Umer Shafique and Obaidullah were referred to the Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad, due to critical injuries.

The police began search for pickup van’s driver.

Also, a man was killed and three suffered critical injuries in a gun attack in Chautrain area here.

Alam Zeb along with Ali Asghar, Anwar Zeb and Mohammad Junaid were returning from Lassan Nawab area after appearing before a local court via Parhana Road when armed rivals attacked their car leaving them seriously injured.

The residents shifted the injured to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, where doctors pronounced Zeb dead and referred others to Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad.
