BAJAUR: A rocket was fired on the residence of ruling Pakistan Tahreek-i-Insaf MNA Gul Dad Khan here on Monday night. However, no casualty was reported in the incident, officials and the lawmaker’s personal secretary said on Tuesday.

They said unidentified attackers fired a rocket on the MNA’s house situated near Bajaur Sports Complex in the posh Sadiqabad town at about 11.30pm on Monday night.

The police officials visiting the scene soon after the attack said the rocket hit the main gate of the Insaf House, partially damaging it.

Tayyab Khan, the private secretary of the lawmaker, told Dawn that Gul Dad along with his family members was present in the house when it was attacked.

However, he said no one was hurt. He said the policemen guarding the house started firing after the attack.

A police team led by district police officer Shahzada Kaukab Farooq visited the MNA’s residence and assured him of tracing the miscreants.
