QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has directed the authorities concerned to set up an online portal on a trial basis to receive public complaints regarding the performance of government agencies.

Presiding over a meeting held on Tuesday for a briefing on the performance of the Chief Minister’s Delivery Unit (CMDU), Mr Alyani said the purpose of the unit was to gradually set up an e-governance system. This would enable better and faster execution of government affairs and improve it through monitoring of performance of the departments, he added.

The chief minister directed the file tracking system set up under the CMDU to be divided into divisions and districts. He said that social networking websites were an easy, fast and inexpensive means of communication which “not only enables us to convey our message to the people immediately and effectively but also helps us to be aware of public issues”.

He appreciated the CMDU’s performance and directed for its expansion.

Mr Alyani also ordered the establishing of the PSDP Automation and Monitoring System and early completion of projects.

He announced that certificates of appreciation would be awarded to the volunteers working to curb coronavirus infections.

The chief minister was briefed on the Covid Lab Test Management System, Data Management System, Call Center, Human Resource Management System and Balochistan Public Endowment Fund Management System.
